Quality is our Top Priority
Luker Framing & General Construction Inc. has implemented an eight point quality control system that requires each foreman to sign off that quality issues have been verified at each house. Here is an example:
- QP1 - Snap, Plate & Detail: Verify that foundation is square and level, plate breaks are in the correct location, all structural post and connections are incorporated, all customer options are installed.
- QP2 - Wall Frame and Plumb and Line: Wall Blocks and bottom plates are secure, verify plumb and line, hold down and shear connections are correct, all backing is installed correctly.
- QP3 - Floor System: Beam and joist locations are correct, verify stair installation is per plan, floor nailing is correct, check all hardware connections are installed correctly.
- QP4 - Trusses: Verify layout is correct, all bracing is installed correctly per truss engineering, backing is installed correctly.
- QP5 - Sheet & Shear: All anchor bolts, hold-down connections and straps are installed per plan, sheet and shear nailing is complete per plan.
- QP6 - 2nd Floor Walls: Wall blocks and bottom plates are secure, verify plumb and line hold down and shear connections are correct, all backing is installed correctly.
- QP7 - Pick-Up: Verify all rough opening dimensions, FAU platform, fireplace, water heater platform, ext. elevations and drop ceilings are installed correctly.
- QP8 - Final: Walls shimmed and shaved, clean-up, no braces left behind, and broom swept.
SIDING - We also have a designated team of siding installers that are specifically trained to manufacturer specifications. We have put an emphasis on the installation process to ensure the quality and efficiency of a wide range of products incuding: James-Hardie fiber cement products, Trex Decking, Real Trim and Tyvek House Wrap.
WINDOWS - We realize that windows are a great area of concern for leaks, we have invested in our installation process assuring that all of our window installs meet manufaturer specifications as well as incorporating upgraded products such as polyurethane caulking, bituthane and Moist-Stop.
